About Mark Groleau

Mark Groleau – Proven Leadership You Can Trust.

Mark is a communications professional, small-business founder, and community volunteer and leader who lives in St. Stephen, New Brunswick. With more than 15 years of experience helping people understand complex ideas and make thoughtful decisions, Mark brings clarity, preparation, and accountability to public life.

Building Real-World Experience and Accountability

Mark is the Founder and President of Unboring Wedding Inc., a globally recognized education and media company he built from the ground up while living in Charlotte County. Since 2017, the business has generated more than $750,000 in revenue, created jobs, and reached tens of thousands of people through online education, video content, and public speaking.

His work has ranked #1 on Google and YouTube for competitive search terms, and his bestselling book Wedding Zero to Ceremony Hero helped establish him as a trusted voice in his field. Running a business has given Mark firsthand experience with budgeting, contracts, systems, and accountability — the same practical skills required in public office.

Communication, Leadership, and Public Trust

Mark has extensive experience in public communication and leadership. He has hosted weekly live broadcasts, delivered keynote presentations at major conferences, managed large volunteer teams, and represented organizations publicly in media interviews and televised debates.

He understands how public messages land — and how unclear communication or poorly designed systems can erode trust. His approach to leadership prioritizes transparency, clarity, and respect for the people affected by decisions.

Experience in Public Life and Political Engagement

In 2024, Mark ran as the Green Party candidate for Saint Croix in the provincial election. He developed and managed all campaign communications, handled media relations, and engaged directly with voters through daily video updates and community conversations.

That campaign deepened his understanding of governance, public accountability, and the responsibilities of elected office — especially in small communities where leaders are neighbours first.

Community Service and Local Involvement

Mark is actively involved in community service and civic leadership in St. Stephen. He serves as Chair of the Good Neighbours Committee and as a board member of Neighbourhood Works Inc., contributing to conversations around housing, neighbourhood wellbeing, and community responsibility.

He is also a board member of the Rotary Club of St. Stephen and works alongside volunteers and local organizations committed to strengthening the community.

Education and Foundation for Ethical Leadership

Mark holds a Master of Divinity from Tyndale Seminary, where he graduated as Valedictorian, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Ottawa.

His academic background supports a leadership style grounded in careful thinking, ethical decision-making, and clear communication.

Home, Family, and Why He’s Running

Mark lives in St. Stephen with his wife and children. He is running for office because he believes local government works best when it is transparent, prepared, and grounded in respect — for businesses, for staff, for agencies, for anyone who calls St. Stephen home, for our visitors and neighbours, and for the long-term health of the community.

“Municipal leaders must ensure their strategic plans are not just written documents but clear guides that residents can understand, because planning that residents don’t get is planning that doesn’t work.”
